Rabbit Air BioGS 2 0 Ultra Quiet HEPA Air Purifier SPA 550A Review. I buy it at: https://www.amazon.com/Rabbit-Air-BioGS-Purifier-SPA-550A/dp/B00GH19UU2/?tag=xhai-20
This is an excellent quality air purifier.
It has energy saving features that dim the light display when you're not changing the settings.
The noise of the machine on low is quieter than a whisper and when the machine is on high, it is still soft enough not to bother someone trying to sleep. (even if noise tends to bother you).
Their customer service is phenomenal. They give you reminders of when you need to change your filters through email. (No, they're not annoying about it)
Clean up is easy. You have to clean the pre-filter once every month (vaccum or rinse it off). You clean the carbon and the hepa filter once every three months with a vaccum. The machine gives you reminders every three months to clean these filters.
You're supposed to put the front and sides of this machine 2 feet away from the wall. Don't be fooled into thinking that the back has to be 2 feet away, because it doesn't. Once you read the manual, you will find out it's just the sides and front. One of the sides of my machine is only about a foot away from my dresser, but, I don't think it's a big deal. It doesn't seem to affect the machine. The only thing it might affect is the time it takes for all the air to circulate through the purifier.
One downside is the size. I wanted something more discreet, but I didn't want to pay the higher price for their more discreet machines. It's not terrible, but it is a bit bulky, so you really need to make sure you have a place picked out for it that won't look terrible and that won't be in the way.
It comes with a remote control, which is handy to put next to your bed or on a table somewhere.
I really enjoy the negative ions feature. It seems to give the air that fresh feeling you get when you open a window. In the winter, this feature can be much enjoyed. Especially by those that like to hibernate in the winter.
Overall, I like this machine a lot. You get what you pay for, so, if you're worried about the price, then... don't be. It's worth the money. If money isn't an option, I would go for their more expensive machines, as you can get them in some really pretty designs, you can mount it on the wall, it is smaller, and not bulky.
