GREEN BUILDERS / Regenerative Design. GREEN BUILDERS is focused on innovative green building design techniques and the people who have already employed them in their projects. The film explores the stories behind a variety of projects, large and small, through the eyes of the people who embarked upon them. The film is not a how-to, but an in-depth look at how and why "green building newcomers" took the plunge.
GREEN BUILDERS premiered in New Jersey on NJN in 2008, and subsequently aired in the PBS National Schedule in 2009. It is also currently distributed internationally in three continents through APT Worldwide.
This clip appeared near the end of the film and explores how the Willow School in New Jersey is an example of the concept of regenerative design ... not only making a building greener, but designing it to enhance the natural resource value of the land rather than diminish it.
